Today we had a spontaneous play group in our back yard. We set up the pool & then I got out the "sprinkly" (according to Lydia). The girls had a real blast getting wet!
Laur just can't wait to grow up. All she wanted to do was stand up in the pool which made it a bit difficult for Jen to keep dry. She was thrilled to bits when we moved her over to the sprinkler.
The girls realized that you could DRINK the stuff AND play in it. They were so hilarious! We figured it was safer than them drinking the pool water!
Obviously, Emma just wasn't getting enough! Although it was a bit of a circus with all 4 girls, they loved crawling on top of one another. Kate took a special shine to Emma and wanted to follow her wherever she went.

Yes, that's our friend Amy's daughter. She says she gets asked all of the time where her daughter's red hair comes from. I guess you probably don't get that question too much, Jennifer.
He he...my mom's response to that question was always "the mailman".
I have scads of snide remarks to the question, though I usually keep them to myself. My favorite is "Well, I'm platinum blonde and my husband is Puerto Rican, so we have NO idea." I mostly only want to use it when people rudely inform me that she clearly didn't get it from me, so where did it come from? (I have extremely auburn hair, and a redhead complexion. It truly boggles the mind...)
