I know some of you were or are from the Chattanooga area. I'm looking for some must see's and must do's for our little family. And, I am especially interested in any must-stays. I'm currently trying to decide whether we should stay in the heart of down town (Residence Inn) or about a mile away from the Aquarium (Staybridge). We're not absolutely sure we're gonna do this, but I'm trying to come up with some numbers that will help us decide! So, let us know what your favs are for the area.
I can't figure out how to do those nifty cross throughs, but the title of this post should change to "Getaway to Blue Ridge." We changed our plans & decided to head for some different mountains and enjoy a "GetAwayFromItAll" kind of getaway. :-) Thanks for those kind suggestions, though! More, later.

oh, how fun! we've stayed at the chattanooga choo-choo downtown, but you have to remember that it's an old hotel. i don't know if kate is into trains, but the boys enjoyed it.
on the other side of the river from the aquarium is a park that has a carousel, water fountain (even though it's probably too cold right now to play in:) ), and lots of green space to run around on. we love it there! you can walk across the bridge from near the aquarium or drive over there...but i couldn't tell you how to get there driving.
there was also that fun train ride we took #3 on for his bday but that might be too far away if you're wanting to stay around downtown.
can't wait to hear if you get something planned and what y'all do!
I don't know about hotels but for eating, you should go to Bea's. I'd have to get directions from my step-dad, but they have the best fried chicken. All the tables sit 8or so and you just sit with whoever fills up your table which can be fun. The only negative is it's not in a nice neighborhood (at least, it used to be a bad neighborhood) so you'd want to go for lunch. Despite it's location, the line is often out the door - the chicken is that good.
Just kidding about the directions cause we live in the age of the internet, and Bea's has website - http://www.beasrestaurant.com/. I would never in a million years guessed that they would have a website.
Hey, I've tagged you on my blog. Not exactly sure how to put a link in for you to click on and help isn't being helpful. :) Sounds like you've got a fun vacation planned.
Hey... if you check out the link on my blog to a chair of bowlies... I would ask Rebecca (formerly Hurley)James. She lives in Chatt. TN!
