15 WEEKS

Alright, I think I lost a week somewhere in the process. Or rather, I lost track of the weeks and ended up gaining a week! I have a Doctor's appointment next week, so I suppose I would have found out then. I'm making slow but sure improvements, for which I am sooooooooo thankful. I've introduced a little soy back into my life, which has brought CHOCOLATE back into my life. I hadn't realized how lonely I was until I had my first drink of chocolate soymilk and -- WOW. I also bought a little bit of chocolate soy ice cream by the name of Chocolate Obsession. Incredible how your tastebuds forget. So, I'm temporarily over my nectarine binge and have moved on to chocolate Silk. (That's the name for the chocolate soy milk-- clever, ain't it?)
Yesterday was a banner day for me and visitors. Josh worked from home for part of the day, Brittny came and visited for awhile, and then later in the day Ben, Jen, and Lydia dropped by. People are the best kind of distraction for me. :-)
I also want to take this opportunity to laud my husband to the skies. His patience is really being tested by practically 12 weeks of non-normal home life. Non-regulated laundry, food, ironing, bed-making, bathroom cleaning, you name it -- NON NORMAL. He has become an expert grocery shopper and a clever cleaning guy, too. Also, we decided that if we ever needed any extra cash, we could hire him out to iron people's clothes. He's WAY better at it than I am.
Well, have a wonderful FOURTH OF JULY everyone.

I'm glad you are starting to feel better. Hopefully this will continue with every day that goes by.

Three cheers for Josh for being such a wonderful husband! :-) However, I do think it's only fair since you have to spend 9 months of your life being a condo for the baby - not to mention childbirth!

So glad you are finally seeing some improvement in your health!! I remember feeling like I'd was sick forever and how WONDERFUL it was to begin to feel "normal" again. When I was pregnant, many people told me that the second trimester was the best - and I agree. You're finished with the icky feeling and the nausea and you haven't yet gotten to that uncomfortably huge size!!
We're ready to have you back to yourself so we can do some fun things before the summer is over!

Me, too, Jen. I'm really starting to daydream about pools. All that cool water. Yum!
Nice comment, Kelley. I'll let Josh know. :-)

Am I like invisible? I'm starting to feel unimportant since you haven't acknowledged either my blog or my questions . . . but, I am glad you are feeling better. So, let me ask again, what are your plans for the summer?

Love, Imee

My plans are simple -- work LIGHTLY at Sylvan (like once a week) until school starts. Josh and I are taking vacation July 27 - Aug 5 in MN. We'll get to see my mom and her relatives up there. Lydia will be meeting all sorts of new people! I had hoped to make a trip to see my parents in MX this summer, but I'm not buying tickets until I am feeling really great. If I go this year, I have to go before October, I think. That's when the doctor won't let me do any crazy travels out of the country or on a plane. AND, I like your blog a lot, I just haven't commented yet.

Hey Lizzy,
I'm glad you are feeling better. Josh is a wonderful guy. =) We've always known it, he's just showing it in a palpable way. It was nice talking to you the other day.
Love you!
