For all you teachers or students out there who end up with lots of notebook chaff floating about. . here's a new use for it. (Decorating by Kate Bailey)
She was sitting at the table while I tutored my Spanish students, and all of a sudden I see her taking the notebook chaff and draping the mini trees on our table with it. Sort of looks like snow from far away. . .
The whole centerpiece is a Dept 56 house (that's cut off a bit), then what you can see: trees and cute penguins who must be emperor penguins or the like since they are a bit out of proportion with the house. Next project: Sew a white runner for a snowy background.

That's the craziest idea I've seen all season. Taking frugal to a new level. I need to se more of the centerpiece.
