Hello everyone! I just wanted to give an update on the "Littlest One." The rollercoaster of mommyhood & babyhood have included some lows and highs, but the in between bits are evening out quite nicely. As a mom, I think I have enjoyed her more this week. When I get more sleep, I can enjoy the in between feeding times a bit more. It REALLY helps to have Josh at home at the weekends. It's nice to bond together as a family, and it's nice to have his help in the early morning and the late evening. He loves to hold Kate, and sometimes he puts in many hours letting her fall asleep and stay asleep in his arms in order to let me sleep (although not in his arms). As you all know, this little girl is going to be Daddy's own.
Yesterday we rediscovered the Boppy. You should see Josh using it! The cutest is the Littlest One taking a little nap in her Lazy Girl. I think it feels as though someone is holding her. :-) I love being able to have her close to me without having to tire out my arms.
Landmark: Today Kate and I had an outing by ourselves. We went to Babies R Us and Carters. I know that all of you professional mommies would laugh to see me trying to manuever the infant carrier on a shopping cart whilst worrying about the cart rolling away in the lot. I'm such novice!
Enjoy some more awake pics!

As far as the shopping cart goes, you're not alone. I still cannot get an infant carrier to fit correctly in them. I don't know if it's me, the carrier, or the cart. Regardless, I've given up and often put them in the basket part.
I never even tried. I have always been so intimidated by the moms who have it figured out that I have never wanted to try in public. I always stuck it in the basket also =). I am so glad you guys went on an outing. I cannot believe it's already been a month since she was born!!
This is a message for JULIE and KELLEY -- could you e'mail me your snail mail addresses. I sorta lost track of them. My e'mail is elizabethbella@adelphia.net. Thanks.
I was tooling around Babies R Us trying to look at other "successful" moms who put their carriers in the front. I think they sit a little crookedly, from what I could ascertain. The idea is that YOU AREN'T REALLY SUPPOSED TO DO IT. But, it's a little hard to do real grocery shopping with an carrier in the basket, not to mention that the carrier can ROCK in the basket. I think that cart makers should make a latch system for carriers and a properly configured spot to place them.
What a sweet picture of Kate and her Daddy! You know, I went out with Nathan in a carrier lots of times, but I discovered that they never really sit right. However...the carts at Babies R Us were much much worse than the ones at other stores. I went to using my stroller at Babies R Us instead of trying the cart. I love seeing pictures! Keep 'em coming!
Oh yeah...where did you find the denim Boppy cover?
That's not a boppy cover -- that is how it came. Jen bought me a Boppy that has attachments to make it a play area, so it came in denim to begin with.
As if there was ever a question that she would be daddy's little girl. I have no advice on the whole carrier/stroller thing as I have never had to tackle that. Sounds like fun. : )
OOPS...I meant carrier/shopping cart situation. I was trying to post a comment really quick when I was supposed to be making dinner.
